The Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) is pleased, once again, to celebrate and support our graduate students by presenting our 3rd annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition and Graduate Student Research Conference on March 29, 30 and 31, 2017 in the GSA Commons.

The 3MT is a university-wide competition representing the innovative and leading-edge research occurring at the University of Saskatchewan. Both the 3MT and the Graduate Student Research Conference are designed to share and celebrate the outstanding research of our dedicated students and to provide students the opportunity to showcase the importance of their work. This celebration of research offers an invaluable opportunity for graduate students to compose and present their research in a way that engages the academic community and refines the quality of their work.

Graduate students interested in participating in this year’s 3MT Competition and the Graduate Research Conference must submit abstracts that are no longer than 500 words.

The online application is available at:

The deadline for receipt of the abstracts for consideration in this year’s 3MT competition and the Graduate Research Conference is 5 PM on March 10, 2017.

All 3MT participants will be competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes at the local level, and the winner will secure a spot at the regional competition which takes place in The GSA Commons at the University of Saskatchewan on April 28th, 2017.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
