Welcome
Welcome to the 2009/2010 academic year at the University of Saskatchewan and your membership in the U of S Graduate Students’ Association. The GSA is your representative organization and we represent you, as graduate students, to the university, government, and other stakeholders.
The GSA will be working hard this year on a variety of issues on your behalf. We will be working in areas such as tuition, funding, student advocacy (academic and non-academic), sustainability, housing, and on many other issues that are of importance to graduate students. The GSA will be providing a number of services including your Health and Dental Plan. We are also excited to be opening the Graduate Student Commons, a project intended to develop a stronger community among graduate students and provide more opportunities for events and activities specifically for grad students.
The GSA will be hosting many events in the upcoming year. In order to reach you, our members, and to keep you informed of what we are doing please subscribe to the GSA newsletter. It will allow us to contact you efficiently. And to keep informed of upcoming events, take a look at the GSA events calendar.
Again, welcome to a new year. We on the GSA executive look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Fraser
President, Graduate Students’ Association
