USask appoints Dr. Vince Bruni-Bossio as 12th president and vice-chancellor

Dr. Vince Bruni-Bossio (PhD) has been appointed as the 12th president and vice-chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan (USask) for a five-year term beginning on January 1, 2026.

The Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) warmly congratulates Dr. Vince Bruni-Bossio (PhD) on his appointment as the 12th president and vice-chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan, beginning January 1, 2026.

Dr. Bruni-Bossio, currently serving as interim provost and vice-president academic, is a highly respected educator and leader who received the prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship in 2022. With extensive experience in governance, strategy, and academic leadership, he will succeed Dr. Peter Stoicheff (PhD), who has guided USask with distinction since 2015.

We look forward to working with Dr. Bruni-Bossio in continuing to strengthen the graduate student experience and advancing the university’s mission.
