Information
The Application Form to Become a GSA Volunteer is CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED.
Interested volunteers, please email the GSA Operations Manager.
The Grad Crew is the GSA’s volunteer group for graduate students who want to get involved, support events and initiatives, and help strengthen the graduate student community.
Grad Crew members can volunteer occasionally or become more regularly involved throughout the year. It is a flexible way to contribute, gain experience, meet people from across campus, and support the work of the GSA.
Grad Crew involvement is flexible and can be based on your interests, availability, and the initiatives you would like to support.
Volunteers may help with event setup, registration, welcoming attendees, food service, activities, outreach, communications, logistics, or other GSA initiatives.
There is no expectation to participate in everything. You can be involved as much or as little as you would like.
For volunteers working closely with a specific GSA Executive or project, responsibilities may become more defined depending on the needs and scope of that initiative.
Grad Crew volunteers may be needed throughout the year for:
- Welcome Week
- Graduate Student Orientation
- Welcome BBQ
- Bingo Nights
- Social Nights
- Family-Friendly Events
- GSA Annual Awards Gala
- Graduate Student Research Conference
- Town Halls and Community Consultations
- Academic and Social Club Events
- Indigenous Engagement Events
- Wellness and Student Support Events
- Professional Development Workshops
- Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns
- GSA Commons Events
- Special Events and Community Partnerships
New opportunities are added throughout the year depending on GSA programming and initiatives.
