Community, Comfort & Connection
Opus, the University of Saskatchewan’s startup incubator, in partnership with the Graduate Students’ Association, invites USask students, faculty, and staff to attend an upcoming Info Session focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and campus support resources. This welcoming and informative session is designed to help participants better understand available opportunities and how to take the next step.
Attendees will gain an overview of Opus programming, with a special focus on the i2Build program, along with practical tips for applying ahead of the February 8, 2026 deadline. Opus supports USask students, staff, and faculty in turning ideas into impactful solutions by applying entrepreneurial thinking to research. As a free campus resource, Opus offers three levels of programming to support innovators at every stage of their journey.
The i2Explore program is open to anyone on campus with an idea and includes one-on-one path-finding sessions, self-paced assignments, and community networking events. Students are encouraged to stay connected through Opus events promoted on Instagram and LinkedIn.
The i2Build program is an eight-month experience designed for researchers with a technology at TRL level 3 or higher. It provides access to entrepreneurial training, infrastructure, and expert networks. Applications are now open and can be accessed here.
The i2Market program supports successful i2Build graduates through advanced training, funding opportunities, and continued access to infrastructure.
