GSA Congratulates Dr. Bruni-Bossio and Thanks Dr. Stoicheff for His Years of Service
Dr. Vince Bruni-Bossio (PhD) has been appointed as the 12th president and vice-chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan (USask) for a five-year term beginning on January 1, 2026.
On behalf of the members of the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA), we extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Vince Bruni-Bossio on his appointment as the 12th President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan.
We have already witnessed Dr. Bruni-Bossio’s unwavering commitment to excellence, openness to collaboration, and genuine care for our community during his time as Interim Provost and Vice President Academic. His vision of “moving forward together” reflects the spirit we value in graduate education, where respect, inclusion, and shared purpose empower us to achieve more together than we could alone.
We look forward to working closely with Dr. Bruni-Bossio as he leads our university into its next chapter. The GSA is eager to strengthen partnerships with his leadership team to ensure that graduate students continue to thrive in an environment that is academically rigorous, socially enriching, and deeply supportive.
We also thank Dr. Peter Stoicheff for his dedication and years of service to the University of Saskatchewan, and we wish him the best in his next pursuits.
