Win a gift card: 2-minute survey about GSA events

What kind of events are you interested in seeing at GSA? Share your opinion and be entered into a drawing for one of five $20 grocery store gift cards! The GSA Executives are working to plan events for the upcoming academic year including a Financial Literacy Series. We want to know what topics you’re interested in, and what other types of fun or informational events you want to see. Fill out the survey here by July 25.

Photo contest: Enter your photo for a chance to win cash!

We are creating a unique GSA desktop calendar to give away at fall orientation, and we want to feature your photos! We are especially interested in photos of Saskatchewan landscapes, Saskatchewan culture, Saskatchewan wildlife, student research, student art, and photos of campus but we welcome any submission! Photos should be in landscape orientation, and of sufficient resolution for professional printing. You must be a graduate student, and you must own copyright to the photo in order to submit (please do not submit photos from the internet, photos taken by others, or anything created by AI). One photo will be selected for each month so photos from all times of year are appreciated, and each winner will receive a $50 cash award.  Please email your photo with a short description as a OneDrive link (allows for highest possible resolution) to gsa.admn@usask.ca by July 16.

USSU Graduate Opportunities Workshop: Volunteer as a mentor!

USSU is hosting a Graduate Opportunities Workshop designed to provide undergraduate students with essential insights into graduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan. The workshop will feature Peer Mentorship Roundtables where current graduate students will share their experiences and insights on graduate research, application tips, pros and cons of graduate education, and more. We are seeking volunteers to serve as mentors for the roundtable portion of the event.

The workshop is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please email gsa.as@usask.ca.

VP Indigenous Engagement: Position Open for Self-Nominations

Interested students must be verified through the deybwewin | taapwaywin | tapwewin policy. To apply, please send your resume and indicate the Indigenous community you belong to for verification purposes to gsa.chair@usask.ca.
