Graduate Students' Association

Election Personal Statement

As a dedicated advocate for academic and social engagement, I am excited to submit my candidacy for the President of the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) at the University of Saskatchewan. With a proven track record of leadership and community building, I am confident in my ability to effectively represent and serve the diverse needs of our graduate student community.

During my tenure as the President of the English Department Student Association at the University of Tabriz, I demonstrated my capacity to lead with integrity and vision. I supervised a team of executives, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of our initiatives. Through meticulous management of paperwork, task assignment, and meeting facilitation, I fostered a culture of collaboration and accountability within our association.

Additionally, my experience as a Student Mentor provided me with invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing incoming students. By offering guidance, organizing orientation sessions, and providing ongoing support, I played a crucial role in facilitating the transition of new students into the academic and social fabric of our university community.

If entrusted with the role of GSA President, I am committed to leveraging my leadership experience and student mentorship skills to advocate for the interests of graduate students, foster a sense of belonging and community, and work collaboratively to enhance the graduate student experience.
