As a graduate student at the U of S, you are entitled to sessions delivered by telephone, video-counselling, or by e-counselling. Once physical distancing measures related to COVID-19 are no longer in effect, in-person sessions will also be available.
Empower Me counsellors specialize in support services and have various domains of expertise, allowing them to respond effectively to the diverse needs of students. They must also have a membership in good standing with their respective professional organizations, in addition to a minimum of three years of experience in short intervention.
Your counsellor will work to plan a course of action with you. To do this effectively, you will be asked some basic questions, as well as your contact and demographic information.
